Jennifer Colombo - Music Therapist/Guitar Teacher


Jennifer offers group/individual music therapy services, adaptive music lessons, beginning vocal lessons, beginning piano lessons, clarinet lessons from beginning to advanced, classical/acoustic guitar individual and group lessons, music theory tutoring, as well as toddler group music classes, ages preschool - 6. She grew up and still lives in the Rochester area. Jennifer completed her Bachelor degree of Music in music therapy at Nazareth College, and has been a passionate as well as dedicated musician since early adolescence. After completing her music therapy internship at Mary Cariola Children’s Center, she has achieved board certification and has been privately practicing across the Rochester region with clients of different ages in various settings for the past year. Jennifer is currently employed as a music therapist at Liberty POST and works with children with developmental disabilities ages 2-5 in the individual and group setting.  She conducts music therapy evaluations for the company and travels across the region for sessions.  Jennifer has also been teaching private adapted music lessons for over ten years and works with numerous private contracts, such as group homes and private individual clients.  She works with students with varying learning and developmental disabilities and offers numerous instruments to study, working directly with the parents to adapt each lesson to the students’ specific learning style. She studied clarinet, classical guitar, voice and piano while attending Nazareth College, and continues to further her education in all instruments, as well as all aspects of music therapy.
